Health and Fitness

SCUBA diving involves physical exertion and requires an average level of health and fitness. You will be required to fill in a medical questionnaire and form prior to starting the course. If you need to answer “yes” to any of the questions on the form you will need to seek written approval from your GP to participate in SCUBA Diving.

Knowledge Development

You are required to complete all knowledge reviews of your course prior to beginning the course.

If under 18 you must ensure that a parent or guardian has co-signed the legal forms.

Open Water Dives

Where practical we will complete your open water dives on the days agreed in the course booking. However, if, we are unable to complete the open water dives on that day due to bad weather, adverse or dangerous conditions, we reserve the right to re-arrange your dives to a later date. This is for your safety.

Boat Dives

Prices are inclusive of kit hire, air, and shore dives. If boat dives are required as part of a course these are included in the course price.

Personal Responsibility

As with all adventurous sports, there is an element of risk with SCUBA diving. The PADI educational system, as used by Cornish Diving Centre, is designed to educate SCUBA divers to dive safely, stay well within experience and limits, and to take personal responsibility for behaviour and actions. Our team are keen to ensure your experience with us is fun and safe.

All divers must take personal responsibility for ensuring they are fit to dive, and follow PADI’s guidelines on managing pressure, air, no decompression limits, the buddy system, and overall safe diving. All divers are to follow instructions from team members, both in and out of the water.
